TermOS ("we", "our", "the extension") is a Chrome extension that replaces your New Tab page with a focused productivity workspace. We take your privacy seriously.
1. What We Collect
Account data: email address and display name (via Google OAuth / Supabase Auth) when you sign in.
Task data: tasks you create, stored in our Supabase database tied to your account.
Location data: approximate geolocation (latitude/longitude) to fetch local weather. This is requested in-browser and never stored on our servers.
Payment data: processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
2. What We Do NOT Collect
Browsing history or URLs you visit.
Keystrokes or clipboard content.
Any data from pages you visit.
Device identifiers beyond what Supabase Auth uses.
3. How We Use Your Data
To authenticate you and display your tasks across devices.
To show relevant local weather via Open-Meteo (open-source, no API key needed).
To process your subscription payment via Stripe.
To send transactional emails (password reset, payment receipts) — no marketing without consent.

OpenRouter / Anthropic — AI advice via Cap AI. Your weather context and task counts are sent; no personal identifiers.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in Supabase (EU region). Row-level security (RLS) ensures users can only access their own data. Connections are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and data ("right to be forgotten").
Object to or restrict processing.
Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
We retain your account data as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the extension's profile panel — this permanently removes all your data from our servers within 30 days.
8. Cookies
The extension itself does not use cookies. The landing page (termos.today) may use minimal session cookies via Supabase Auth for the sign-in flow. No third-party advertising cookies are used.
9. Children's Privacy
TermOS is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice in the extension. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
